I grew up tinkering with wood, and often found that though my creations were functional and creative, I never considered myself an artist. I realize now as a professional woodworker that my work is valued and appreciated, and as I grow in my craft, I am slowly exposing an artist within me I never believed in as a kid. Ask me what inspires me as an artist, I’ll say nothing. But ask me about trees, chairs, or dovetails, and I will talk forever!
