Nancy Aten
My ecological restoration work is made better, more deeply connected to knowledge, when I also print-make and sketch in the field, in the natural places I want to understand better. Field sketching sharpens my observation, expands my comprehension and imprints memory of place. And, my monotypes, or unique prints, are meant to tell a story of some of the workings of ecology, or of plant interactions, or why habitats differ, or how succession is operating. To have the potential to prompt interesting questions or curiosity about the wild world.
