I am primarily a plein air painter and am excited by the varieties of weather, light, seasons, harbors, water, and people in Door County. I paint outside year-round.

Prior to beginning a painting, I take time to contemplate the location. The act of painting is a form of meditation.

My paintings are representational. Design, value, color, temperature, and brush strokes are the tools I implement to share with the viewer the inspiration that the scene has provided to me.
