My work is inspired by my loved ones. Be it family, pets or plants around my home. I particularly like to capture my family interacting with animals. Creatures understand so much more than what we give them credit for. Our animal bonds can be life changing! My goal is to capture moments in time that focus on these bonds. These relief prints were carved from linoleum or wood and printed onto mulberry paper using oil-based inks. I love the graphic contrast between black and white in printmaking! Occasionally, color is called for…in which water color pigments are incorporated.
My family and I love to go “treasure hunting” on our beautiful Door County beaches. “Treasure” usually comes in the form of beach glass! I have carefully picked the very best pieces from our collection and transformed them into a large selection of wearable art pendants. I wonder which piece is waiting here just for you?!?
