Brian Pier
I am primarily self-taught but strongly influenced by many of the 19th- and early 20th-century masters. I study and paint every day, working in oil and using a limited palette. My passion is painting en plein air, and I continually find drama in the landscapes and people that I paint. My paintings are all about the changing light and the way that it plays on the natural beauty that surrounds me.
My most memorable experiences are exhibiting in Florence, Italy, and New York, and meeting friends who have become collectors and collectors who have become friends both here and abroad.
