Nancy Prange
It’s all about how you see things. Taking time to really see things: how the light is coming from this direction or that, possibly changing an object’s color or form…or making it appear like something else entirely. Sometimes the expanse of a landscape portrays an entirely different feeling than a more closely focused, odd pattern or detail depicts. Prange says it’s all how the patterns and details change the structure that fascinate her.
Georgia O’Keefe says it so very succinctly: “Take time to look…”
That’s what Prange wants her viewer to do: participate in a mindful observance. appreciating simple beauty.
