Pat Olson
Growing up in Door County, I was surrounded by beauty and art. I became a self-taught artist and started selling my work at shows in the 1970’s. I progressed to shop owner featuring my whimsical artwork, along with teaching and art supplies.
In the 1980’s I was asked by a publisher to write a “HOW TO PAINT” book featuring my whimsical painting style. This led to over 100 books and leaflets featuring painting, stenciling, clay, cross stitch and more.
In the 1990’s I signed with an international licensing agency to design for the gift market designing fabric, dishes, cards, bags, and much, much more.
Now retired from all commercial work with deadlines, I paint whatever takes my fancy. I have fun experiencing with styles and mediums from colorful abstracts, fun collages, acrylics, and pastels.
I am a founding member of the Sturgeon Bay Art Crawl.
